Amsterdam Oost is one of the pearls of Amsterdam. Wibautstraat
The Wibautstraat was for a long time the ugliest street in Amsterdam. A long asphalt road with many hideous buildings, little greenery and virtually no entertainment. But since the renovation of Amsterdam's longest street, the Wibautstraat has been given a real avenue look where it is nice to relax in the many restaurants and cafes in the area.

What's on offer in Amsterdam East
To start right off with a great experience, you can see the Tropenmuseum visit. This is a museum about world cultures and is housed in an impressive monumental building overlooking the Oosterpark in Amsterdam. The extensive permanent exhibition and regularly changing exhibits include objects that all have a story to tell about humanity.

Tasting Room 't Nieuwe Diep is a small distillery located in the beautiful green surroundings of Flevopark. Here they make the best organic spirits and liqueurs. In the small tasting room you can enjoy their special genevers, or have a nice beer or glass of wine with homemade food. On a nice sunny day, you can enjoy these drinks on their terrace overlooking the small pond of Flevopark.

More and more great places keep popping up in the eastern part of Amsterdam. The latest addition is Bar Botanique Of the restaurant entrepreneurs who also Bar Bukowski and The Beer Garden have established. Actually the full name is Bar Botanique, Café Tropique and it is open all day for breakfast, pasties, salads and pizza from the wood-fired oven.
